KEA

Kea, also known as Tzia, is a small island in the Cyclades group of islands in Greece. It is located in the Aegean Sea and is easily accessible from Athens by ferry.

The island is known for its beautiful beaches, many of which have crystal-clear waters and are surrounded by lush greenery. Some of the most popular beaches include Koundouros, Korissia, and Gialiskari. Koundouros is a long sandy beach with crystal clear waters, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Korissia is a small fishing village with a picturesque harbour and a good choice for seafood. Gialiskari is a small secluded bay with crystal clear waters and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for snorkelling and diving.

The city was built on a hilltop and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. The island also has several churches and monasteries, such as the Monastery of Panagia Kastriani, which is a beautiful example of Byzantine architecture.

Kea is also known for its traditional villages, such as Ioulida, which is the island’s capital, and Vourkari, which is a charming fishing village with a vibrant nightlife and a good choice for seafood. Visitors can also enjoy hiking and walking in the island’s mountainous terrain, which offers spectacular views of the Aegean Sea.
