The main guidelines in the process of design were the climate, the solar path, the existing topography as well as the privacy between the properties. The unique Kastro House is a cosy house located in the heart of the village of Antiparos. It was built by the Venetians at the 15th century as a part of a complex of 24 houses joined into a square defensive form that surrounded and protected the main tower that used to be there. This complex of houses is called ‘Kastro’ meaning castle. As you enter the gate of the Kastro every walk home will be a travel through time. A very special living atmosphere!
