A truly meaningful experience in Andros, Melisses is a very special, charming and rare find.
The name Melisses, meaning ‘bees’ in Greek, is inspired by the busy bees that typically distinguish the landscape of Andros. Everything at Melisses is aimed to enhance the culture and beauty of the island and the gorgeous house respects the local flora and fauna, creating a continuous connection to the enchanting environment.
Melisses is wonderfully secluded and surrounded by a variety of fruit trees, local fresh herbs and spices, and a blooming vegetable garden full of tomatoes, zucchini, onions, pumpkin – all of which are picked daily to create their magnificent homemade dishes and delicious breakfasts.
With a breathtaking panoramic view, you will experience beautiful sunsets with all rooms overlooking the turquoise sea. The salt-water infinity pool by the open kitchen, living and dining area is the perfect place to take a dip and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
One of a kind: With only 5 rooms, a private beach, a farm with little lambs, goats and ducks walking around freely, Melisses is a space that has been so carefully designed and thoughtfully curated. Its Thonet chairs, vintage finds from Italy and France, antique furniture from Greek mansions, stunning unique pieces of art including vintage photos from Greece (to name only a few), will leave you feeling overwhelmed with the absolute serenity and warm atmosphere at Melisses.
Inspiring and creative Italian host, Allegra, is deeply fond of Hellenic culture and traditions, and shares her home and her cooking with her guests with passion and generosity.
